Maybe Moving

Just got a job offer in Tacoma just gettin a feel for the area and what to expect. Right now I live in Long Beach CA

culture shock would be the first thing that pops into mind..LMAO!
Best thing to do is visit any place before moving there. Turbo Tech is in Tacoma and your not that far from Seattle which has a good fbody/gm/ford/racing crowd. Just a big difference than longbeach...lol

I spent some time in Long Beach and Tacoma is similiar in that you have some nice areas and some really bad areas, that you would probably get your car stolen in.

if you like living in the big city & dont want to deal with emissions move to the out lying areas, I live in thurson county which isnt that far away from Tacoma.

Tacoma is in Pierce County, and that is a nice central location for pretty much anything in the south sound area. It's also right between the two primary race tracks. Your $ will also go further in Tacoma/Pierce County than it will up in Seattle/King County.

Another difference would be lack of sun and heat! With exception being July-Sep.

Do you own a home there? If you do then the first thing you'll notice is that the prices are MUCH lower. A $1M home there, costs $200K here.

Thanks for all of your input guys. I am raelly considering it. I have been up here since wednesday and its not that bad. As fir the women they are actually nice and will talk to you even if you dont make 6 figures a year lol. I know my Husky would love it up here also. What are the summers like? Hopefully there is some sun. As for the job offer its just a transfer from La to here.
