Default Mar 29 Pacific Raceways

Weather has potential for tomorrow but it's raining all day here and currenty snowing.

My kids are on spring break this week. I don't remember ever having a white spring break. How about some global warming, eh?

Not easy to get runs today. Soggy roads all the way in. They dried off the track till about 1pm. I got 2 runs and bailed.

I tried to get video, but forgot to switch my camera from photo to video, so it only took snapshots. d0h!

The main thing I wanted was to log some WOT, to check the wideband and shift points. Got that and they need some work. Here's to a great 2009 season!

pedaled alot in 2nd gear
60': 1.763
1/8: 7.005@110.55
1/4: 10.491@142.25

pedaled alot in 3rd gear
60': 1.546
1/8: 6.595@106.50
1/4: 10.248@136.06

Great times Chris! I'm surprised that track would hold that well as cold as it was....

You need to go out once the temps get a bit warmer. 1.54 60' isn't to bad but it will do a bunch better. For you're car to even think about working the track will need some heat in it. What did you chip it too? How was your reaction times. You need to get a better TB button too.

Yeah it set my best time ever, with lots of room to improve. Got some good data logs for a shake down. A little more heat in the track will surely help.

Had to pedal multiple times each run, to keep in the groove and pointed straight. Funny that active handling kicked in for the 10.24 run, heh. That means I was sideways and it applied the brakes to help me out.

Run 1 was 2000 footbrake
Run 2 was 3000 transbrake

R/T was not that good, I was super chicken **** about using the transbrake. A little practice and the nerves will settle. Don was there and saw me get spanked by a rail that went 8.oh.

dude....

For a coupla' shake down passes i'd say you were haulin' the mail.

I'll start the wager and say 9.74 @ 151 before the season is done. My bet is one pitcher of barley-pop (of the winners choice) to the motor-head who comes closer.

Congrats and thanks for raising the bar.

Mark

PS. this all is contingent on that stock block keeping up its end of the deal. But you've been good to it with lots of fuel and methanol...it should return the favor.

Sure it's a deal.

Oh man I dunno about 150. I suppose one run at 18psi would do it. Looking forward to see you back there again.
