ya it would be nice to ride in one that has been properly tuned, just to see how it is on the street. i wonder if wong is a good enough tuner to make that cam behave properly? so wt u been up to? did u fix the z yet?

Tommy did a pretty good job of tuning my MS4 on my 408, I think the MS3 shouldn't be a problem. He is a great tuner.

Your best bet is a custom ground cam. Same money but a better fit for for your car and you.

Yes Tommy can tune any cam to run as good as it will get, but is it the best fit for you?

Lay out your goals first as to how you want your car to drive.

Are you looking for a highway roller, do you want to have to downshift to see any appreciable power.. all things to consider when looking at a cam over 230* in duration with a 346 cid.

i realize there are some downfalls to a cam this big. my car is a summer car only and i take it to the track. but its a proven cam to make solid power and it sounds sick also. i dont know if i could live with it though so im trying to find out. im considering a customgrind too.

If you are willing to travel a little bit I can show you the benefits and down falls to running a large cam. I can't drive much because the insuranse company limited my Mileage for the year.

Dude that cam isnt that big lol! **** there is only 1000 vids on youtube with people runnin that cam and some even are dd's. That cam will give you a nice 400rwhp but your gonna definetly want to get some 4.10's on that bitch with that cam though or you will be waitin all day for it to get in its power zone and then by that time an lt1 car might be ahead of ya lol

but that says it all... smaller cam or gears to match.. but the 410's are weak in a 10 bolt... but with a decent set of heads you can make it work good enough.

We ran a 238/240 in my 347 with 389 gears. It moved OK under 4500 rpms due to the AFR's and was an absolute bullet from 4500 -7000 rpms. If I was restricted to 346 cubic inches and had a daily driver I would stay in the 224- 228 range and save and put some good heads on it. 440 is a reasonable goal an still be a decent driver.. If I was lookinmg to make more power than that I would look to increase the cubes first. For a street car that is.

for sure about the gears. i wouldent run that cam without goin 4.10 at least. but if you have a cam that is good for 7000, dont u have to do alot more to the inside of the motor?

It might say 7000 but with stock heads you probably wont need to go past 6500. You will need better springs etc etc. If I had an ls1 that would be the first thing I would do besides a fast 92/92!! Go for it dude it will run good!

no its so I can insure my cherokee and the poncho. I have it set up so the jeep is my dd and the T/a is just a weekend car. So I now only drive the T/a around town, not sure how many miles I have left on it.

I live in Newberg. If you are on I-5 get off on tigard exit and head west on HWY 99W about 15-20 miles through tigard, king city then sherwood and Newberg is next.
