Paint Samples
Paint Samples Does anyone know of any local (Seattle) shops that can paint me a paint sample on some scrap metal or the like of the exact color of my car?
I'm sending my brake calipers to get powdercoated from Silverghost, but he needs something off my car like a gas cap door so he can paint match the calipers. But I dont want to ship my gas cap, so I'm assuming this is the next best thing.

You can look at my post on here of hood pics. That is matched to my paint. I have small panels i can spray on for you to send. When you say you want it matched to your car do you mean the color or the fade? To us there is a difference. I can spray your color based on your code but matched I would need a piece of your car for like a day. Let me know we can work something out.
There should be touch up spray paint matching your color at auto parts stores. Plasti-kote makes a large selection. You can probably check their website to see if they offer your color.
most of the powdercoating ive done, I can find colors close enough to factory paint through one manufacturer or another that you cant tell its not the same unless you set both parts one on top of the other in the sun light, the distance from the caliper to the body should be far enough to trick the eye. Why not use someone local and pick a color yourself? what are you paying to ship and coat stuff if you dont mind?
What are you doing? Painting the whole car or just touch up. If you're going touch up then I would go with freefallen bro if you don't mind the drive. He is recommended down here for a reason. He's been doing this for 15years.
