My SS hood is metal but it's also a two piece hood I found out.

The front bumper is going to be relatively the same. Depending on the models being compared, the WS.6 hood could weigh slightly more but I haven't seen the data to support that theory.

I like my camaro, the only option that was added to it was rear defrost, the rest of it was as base model as it got. And it's LIGHT, in stock trim with the sold steel spare in the back it was 3350 with me in it, drove across the truck scale on hwy 30 after the drags one night. So easy to get under 3k lbs with this turkey, lol. One nice thing about a small engine/compact trans

are you guys talking about a factory ss hood ? i think the only metal body panels on our 4th gens are the rear quarter panels?. Doors fenders hood are fiberglass rear bumper and front clip plastic thats what i thought at least. i have seen a wrecked camaro hood and it was shredded and frayed like fiberglass does.

im also considering the 05-06 gto again. i think what im gonna do is sell the car and put the money in an account that i cant touch for a year and save up money from my tug job. this way i dont have to settle for a car, i can get anything i want, low miles, right color and all that good stuff. im not gonna settle again. when i bought my ss i wanted black, but settled for pewter and more miles than i really wanted, im not making that mistake again

i know exactly what i want!! black trans am WS6 with tt2s and a stroker motor. ill buy it without the stroker and put one in later, but god damn do i have a new dream car!

It really depends how thick it is. If it's been built up really thick it can be heavy. But for the most part fiberglass is pretty light weight stuff.

exactly mike, my first jet boat was a semi v hull 18 foot but it was stout and kinda heavy for a drag boat even tho it wasnt a full stringer boat and all fiberglass like most boats are, i could walk on the bow and it felt solid as hell, my 2 v-drives where flat bottoms and i would have probably stepped right through the bow if i walked on them lol they hauled *** and i know i saw the specs on my sanger it was prolly about 500 pounds for the whole boat with no engine.. but i bet my jet boat was around 700 to 800lbs it really just depends on how you stout you wanna build it my buddys grandpas pro stock drag boat from the 70s "wild turkey" ran the liquid 1/4 mile at 130mph and he said you could see the sun through the paint from inside the boat lol..

I think our SS hoods are like 20 pounds as the Z28 metal hood is a good 50 pounds.
