Been awhile...
Good lord, maybe not...

I put the Z in mothballs for a few years, and nearly sold it to my brother in law. In the mean time I bought a TrailBlazer that was never supposed to see a mod. Right.
After snapping a fairly critical front axle piece and having to wait on parts, I figured I'd pull the Z out and see what it needed. That was last week. Let's just say it's a good thing I'm self-employed and set my own hours.
I've got the car running right again and a few little things replaced. Pulled the oil cooler which decided to leak. Going down to get a temp tag today and we'll see about getting it to pass emissions. I spent yesterday working on the paint. I had some 30th anniv stripes on the car and the vinyl in those disintegrated long ago. Got those off and attacked the hood with some 1200 grit to clean up the paint.
Looks like I'm hooked, again. Do you guys still let LT1s hang around?

My other money pit.

I'll be at Brown's Camp over Memorial Day weekend trying to break it again. Gonna try and get it up Can Opener.
Camaro is coming along... got the paint all sanded/polished. No where near show quality... but shiny at least.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

My foray into the wheeling world has taught me the value of owning a welder and knowing how to use it. After looking at what's out there for rear suspension pieces (and how much they cost) I've decided that I'm not willing to pay for pretty... all I care about is strong. I can make strong. So looks like I'll be getting some measurements off the stock rear pieces this weekend to make some LCAs and brackets. After that I may try my hand at a new torque arm and some SFCs.
