Lol. Freakin dorks. !! I grew up racing on flat 2 lane corn country roads, with my IROC Z 5.7 busting a Mullet explosion. Who said I was a rookie,,,??? ZPhil? Dork I'm excited that my car is gonna kick ***. Fastest car I ever had was a Brown and Gold 84 Z28. Beautifull car. Had a carbed stroker. 20 years ago. Only ran 11.9.

Yeah I was scared..lol...plus money was a issue as well..and still is..when I get the juice hooked up at the end of January I'll have to learn to drive the car all over again..

Aiming for 650-700 through the auto. Gotta keep it low since bottom end will be stock get your spray on. My Vette was so damn fun on the 225+ shot

Copmagnet I would go with a 4200 stall converter if you want to see some serious times

You going to run a meth kit or race fuel? Seems like fairly lofty goal for stock short block through an auto on pump gas. Big single? I've been having thoughts of twin ebay GT2871R's on the Tahoe. Would make a helluva tow rig.

No meth, no race fuel. Precision 7475. Bottom end will be fine, 317 heads and a turbo cam will be used as well.

I think he's going with a SS4000. Which will be a good overall street/strip stall.

Correct. Stall should be here in a couple of weeks. That, with 3.73's, should be a pretty potent/capable combination with the right tire/size...thinking 26" slicks... and getting the suspension setup correctly. Even with just a cam swap/bolt-ons and stock 241's, the car should do pretty darn well on a reasonable budget.
