Default Old School Car Audio

When I was at my moms over the fourth of July I was going through some of my old crap that I've had there for way too long. I came across some old car audio from way back in the day and started remembering how much money I sunk into it back then. My first system was in a 1982 Chevy short wide 4x4 with a Punch 150 driving 2 Punch 12's in a custom built seventh order bandpass box mounted in the bed and the ports coming thru into the cab. Had a Nakamichi TD-1200 cassette player because CD players still skipped back then in my lifted truck. Also had a Punch 75 driving some 6" Alpine separates in the doors and a Punch 45 running 3" Rockford's in the dash for center staging.

Check out these old amp covers. That Punch 45 cover has never been mounted lol... Anyone else have some old systems from back in the day?

Nice little setup there. ^^^^ Blaupunkt always made decent stuff. I remember when MTX first came onto the scene. I was at a car audio competition and sat in their "demo" van because all the mfgs had demo vans lol.. It was an Astro van with two back seats and a wall of 10" subs. At that point I had heard all of the demo vans that made the local competioins and that MTX van hit the hardest by alot. It was almost painful. The bass was super tight and they made up for the lack of cone area with so many sub's lol... Everyone else was going larger sub's which was great for low end but lacked the tight mid bass.
