Default Fbody brakes

Hey guys,
Any of you Fbody LS guys have a front disc setup? Calipers, rotors and abutments.
I'm looking to upgrade my Nova,
Stopping at the drags is getting iffy.
Or maybe know someone who is parting a car.

Just did this to my Elky. I haven't gotten it on the road yet but I'm hoping they are a huge improvement. There was a guy on craigslist parting a 2000 LS1 Camaro recently and I think he wanted $100 for the front brake setup.
Jess

Forgot to mention I think I saw he was listing it in Salem

I contacted a guy in Craigslist, diff car. Parting out. But wasn't willing to remove the brakes yet......
Also, turns out I have 5.5x15 wheels. And now I'm thinking they flat won't fit anyway.

I had 15s on the car and had to wait to do the swap till I could find some 17s or 16s. My 15s had no chance of fitting but they were 8" wide. Depending on the offset the 5.5s might clear.

If I can round up the parts cheap enough.....I may give it a try.

Just frustrating to find narrow 16 or 17" wheels so you can use a passenger car tire on the front. It's a drag car for the most part.....sort of.

Weld alumastar or v series comes in a 17x3.5. Run the M/T Sportsman SR in 26x6.0 tire. Many are doing it successfully.

If you want to test fit your wheels on the brakes before buying all the parts maybe we can work something out. My car is just sitting at the moment and I don't mind. Just PM me.

Darren,
I think the 4 or 3.5" 15's fit fine too because the offset is so small.
But I really don't want to spend $800 for wheels and tires.

Jess, you have a PM
