Bought a salvaged title 2007 Honda civic coupe. Found out it needs a Washington state patrol inspection. Airbag light stays on, realized airbag was deployed previously in a minor wreck. Replaced drivers side seat that had the airbag deployed with a fully in tact one (had airbag). Tried several methods of clearing airbag light. Nothing works. Is there ANY sort of foolproof work around? Without having to pay hundreds for a technician to diagnose and repair? Or having to replace the airbag module? My inspection is tomorrow and I've been working on this for 4 days now. If I can't fix it before tomorrow's inspection, I'll have to wait 4 weeks for the next available slot. Can anyone help me? I've also tried disconnecting the battery and waiting 10 minutes. Airbag light stays on.
