Default pushrod gallery elongation

Hello Everybody,
I am a newbie to this forum, so forgive me if this question has been overasked;
but I was wondering if the pushrod gallery holes needed to be elongated on stock LS1 heads when using the comp DRE shaft mount rockers (1.8's).
Any feedback, advice, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Boy, you have got about the absolute minimum of info on yer profile, don'tcha?

What year, which heads? Although I can't imagine there's any difference between the rest of the heads except valve cover bolt pattern, I *can* tell you the '98 heads need no rework to accept the pushrods w/ 1.8s.

I have the Crane Gold 1.8s (single post) and have no interference there.

Can't figure the Comps would have any different geometry, even w/ the shaft mount...

Sorry Guys,
I haven't remebered to set-up my profile yet.
The car is a 2000 C5 vert, stock heads, headers, auto; the usual bolt-ons and a mild cam.
From some of the rumors I've heard, the Comp DRE shaft mount rockers require elongation of the pushrod galleries due to a change in the geometry. However, some other people have said that it is only required on 5.3 L heads with 1.7's.
I wanted to find out prior to bolting these rockers down, as I do not want to remove the heads and do machining. If machining is necessary, I will be returning the rockers and purchasing the Crane 1.8's, as I know without a doubt that the Cranes do not require machining on the head.
Thanks for the reply so far SSINFUL!

I have never heard of that being needed.
