Default New Z06

Everything that you have previously read is all true including the look. I don't know if I am a little disappointed or not. Kind of like knowing what your presents are as a kid before Christmas. Anyway, I love the performance but not wild about the looks. I will hold judgement until I see one in person and wait for '07's. Performance wise, I am tempted to trade up IF I can get the blue/red. Anyone wanting more info can get it now at the National Corvette Museum website which was allowed to post at 12:01am EST.

All the performance stuff makes it sooo much better than the C5 Z06, but I think they could have done better on the looks as well. Regardless, it's a supercar now, and it's going to cost a buttload!

The 427 will sell the car. It would never happen but it would be cool to have it as an option for the new Camaro...yea right.

All impressive #s! And are those Brembo brakes? But why do I see no G-pad rating?

Brembo's are 4-piston if I'm not mistaken, the ones on that Corvette are 6! With 6 individual brake pads. Who wants to do a pad change? lol

Here is a thread with a LOT of information on the new car: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iv-internal-engine/257902-gm-provided-z06-ls7-specs-inside.html

I read an article about it in motor trend or C&D, pricing was estimated around $75k.

I think I'll have to wait to get a slightly used one.

The nice thing is that that moror will be available to buy and will caus aftermarket folks to lower their prices for one. Maybe they will cost 10k down the road.

Ah yes, but as a 'little bird' told me, the LS7 / 2 code has yet to be cracked. So if you buy one, be prepared to keep her stock for a while, or blaze the tuner-trail.

I'd like to see that motor in a GTO... As maybe a "Judge" model? (I'm a 2+2 kind of guy)

Maybe so, but I can't help thinking about how nice it would be to stick one in my T/A, adapt a cable operated t/b to it and run it with my stock ECM

You could probably make that work. Certainly would be a hot setup!

By the time it is ready I may be able to afford it, lol. I vision a "D" blower just puffing a little air in it since it makes plenty of ponies now to make 500 rwhp. That is all I would want.

Just watched the GM debut. If they make this thing in blue I am not going to be able to sleep. I did see a black one that was one mean MF'er. The yellow is not doing it for me but that 427 sure is. Maybe I can put one of those in mine cheaper that building one out of the LS6.
