Default Swap meet

Teresa and I went to the swap meet saturday morning. I hadn't been since 2003. Seems to me the meet was a lot better in 2003 because they had a had a lot more racers there. I remember seeing lots of coil over springs and even several quick change rears for sale. This year was rather lame. For the first time ever, I went with plenty of money and only spent about $100.

The best deal I saw going was a set of 4 car dollies (the tire cradle with castors for pushing the car around the shop) for $68.00! That is half price of what summit and jegs offer them for. Also, they are 14 inches wide. 315/35's fit with ease! They are only good for up to 4000 pounds but hey, that' perfect. I wish I had bought two sets now!

I also bought a set of four prybars for $10... I'm positive I'll get my money's worth there, too

As far as LSx parts go I only saw one set of heads for sale... didn't check the price because the jackass had them setting deck down on the concrete. After seeing that I didn't care about them! I also saw a Lingenfelter aluminum intake for $500. The same guy also had a LS6 intake and throttlebody for $500. We saw some okay deals on wheels. We mostly saw lots of junk parts that were over priced.

I really think lots of people were like me this year. I have a quite a few things I could part with but I really didn't have a good way to transport my stuff so I just kept it all.

I did see a complete Dana 44 for a C4 vette. They wanted $1600 HUB TO HUB- That is a awesome price if it wasn't grenaded. The best deals I've seen previously were always about $1100 just for the batwing section (no suspension parts or brakes).

At least it wasn't a wasted trip. I got a couple good tools and Teresa got a great story to tell about a Corvette guy. I imagine I'll end up telling it too

Cory thats because they are rebuilding alot of stuff & had to cut alot of the venders out. There was a booth for our club there & we normally sign up 10 to 20 new members but this year we only managed 3 or 4 plus there was NO L98 Stuff there for my car.

Larry Johnson owner of Chp (corvette Highperformance) said alot of his Racer venders are planing on being there next year & all the Club booths will be inside.

ELLISSSSSSSSSSS If i am up that way this next weekend (depends on burier services for Dans Cousin) Can i come get my stuff PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
