This is actually something us guys with other than normal exhaust need to worry about. Or anyone running around with a cut out. Even though the cut outs now days are electric and the noise can be made to dissappear in a second.

This is just another step that the eco ***** in washington are taking to get rid of older cars and especially us damn kids with our noisy cars.

This one worries me:

Can anyone dig up info on RCW 16.36.005.

According to the above I could get nailed for just starting my car in the driveway. My neibors dog run could fall into the "penned area".

RCW 16.36.005

Appears this is a animal rights agenda. EVERYTHING seems to revolve around not hurting the animals.

Wonder what will happen with Evergreen speedway seeing as that it is by a bunch of farms. Granted there is nothing within 600ft. Just another step in taking away car enthusiast rights IMHO.

As it is Pacific gets squeezed a little more each year by the "residential" areas that keep getting closer to it... their hours of operation are very strict otherwise they get fined because the neighboring housing developments can't stand the noise.

Got news for you, ********... if you don't like the noise of a race track, DON'T LIVE NEXT TO IT!!!

Jason, you are correct as usual!

So much for any future NASCAR, NHRA, etc..

Wouldn't the hydroboats at Seafair be considered off-highway vehicles? I want to see a cop at the dock writing them up!

It isn't just about loud cars. Its also about using your land as you wish. Just think of this. Say you have 10 acres, you and your son with his new mini-bike that you purchased for his birthday or Christmas would like to ride it on YOUR property. According to some of this proposed legislature, you maybe in violation of that bill when you take your son out for a ride. It can be construed as anything depending how someone would view that bill. Call or write to your reps to voice your opinion.

Remember, unless you are a Native American living on the rez, you do not own your land. I have lived in the same house since 1972. It is mine free and clear. BUT ... I still have to pay taxes on the land (even though the taxes are more than the house payments ever were).

And yes, it sounds like your neighbors will be able to call the cops if you start your car in your own driveway.

Time to call Olympia again.

LOL! Even the indians are getting fucked now days (not like they werent from day 1, but thats a whole different subject). They now have to include the state liquor and tabacco taxes on all sales of those items to get any more govt. funding/assisatance. Talk about bullshit.

Cant wait till we get into the new house. Nice new subdivision, houses about 5ft apart, 9pm, 14.0:1 compresion, boom tube, turn key, "howdy officer, was I bothering someone?"

I used to NEVER be a politically oriented person. But since I have gotten a little older (not wiser) I am actually paying attention to some of the bullshit laws that get passed. I used to not care, now I want to pick up the phone and start making calls.

Boyce, by that time I don't think it will be just your neighbors pissed at you if you fire that thing up at 9pm. Your wife might make you sleep in it if you wake the yung'un.

The way this state's going with all the soy latte drinking, tofurkey eating, tree hugging, spotted owl humping greenies, we're all going to have to pack up and move to Texas in order to have any fun with our cars.

No offense to any of you that may drink soy lattes or hump spotted owls in addition to enjoying your automobiles.

Hey, I knida like to hump some owls.....(note the sign @ Hooters?)

It always amazes me how a group of rich folk can move into an area & then have it re-zoned so the pre-existing business gets into trouble for noise etc. Paine Field comes to mind with all the snobs in Harbor Pointe (no offense intended, but like Jason said, if you don't want to listen to jets taking off, don't move in next to a ****** airport)

Maybe we should gather up ALL the car clubs in western WA & uncork our headers & take a cruise around the capital building.
