BMR boxed weld in SFC go in on friday. How much better will the car handle? I think it already rides on rails, lowered and with the Konis... Have I wasted my green?

The only thing I've ever heard had to do with Safety in a bad accident. SFC are one of the best mods you can do for the "feel" of an F-body. They aren't going to make you go faster, I don't think they help much for handling. But man go over a set of railroad tracks after and you'll have a big smile on your face. Just makes the car seem more stable and more enjoyable to drive.

I gotta get some on the Vert, just too cheap

Most of it has been regarding materials and construction short fallings, welds breaking on the units (K-members, control arms), do a search for BMR failure and you'll find some.

The BMR SFCs are just fine... there's just two long pieces of metal, no joints or anything to go bad like on control arms, k-members, etc.

Also, those are on their rod-ended stuff for the most part... if you're doing anything less than rod ends (like rubber or poly bushings) the BMR items work great.

I have BMR weld in convertible SFCs on mine. The car is much more rigid with them in. I *HIGHLY* recomend this mod. So to answer your question, no, you did not waste your green.

I just got these installed about last week. The car feels way more stable, sturdy, and rigid. I'm not sure if it actually helps handling, but I know for sure that it "feels" like it is taking corners better. I can now take this one sharp turn by my house at 35mph and I feel just as safe as when I was on the edge before the sfcs taking it at 25mph.

This is on my list of things to do so I'm interested in your reaction after doing this mod. BTW did you get your gears done last week?

Yes Sir! Gears are installed and I'm 250 miles away from the end of the breaking in period. After that, rear end fluid change and back to "normal" driving....
