What year/s where you thinking of?
3rd gen.... like 91-94 I think was when they made them. I looked in the Seattle Times, there's two in there and they want like $12-15K for them.

Ouch.

They appear to be pretty clean, though. I would prefer to find one with a trashed drivetrain.

The company that does the conversions sometimes sells them with blown motors. They blow motors all the time so it should be too hard to find one, maybe have to be willing to go out of state though. 12-15 isn't bad for a clean one. You could drive it until the motor goes and get ready for the swap in the mean time.

OUCH I do see the problem though.......it appears that a twin turbo motor is the only option (at least when I checked for the '93s)........private party on a 93 with 100k is almost 10 grand That's crazy for a car you are spend that much in engine/tranny upgrades in already in my lame opinion.

Yup... and I could probably get a couple grand out of the stock drive train when I yank it out.

It's not that bad... and I can write it all off since it's a LS2 conversion. I just do it as a project to promote my site.

There is a white one (3rd gen FD chassis) on ebay right now that has a salvage title but it runs perfect. Guy said in the ad that he'll take 8000.00 for it. Buy it, yard out the recently rebuilt engine and trans and sell em' to fund your V8 swap.

They readily accept LS1's and LT1's with ease, well, relative ease anyway.

Poik, I've owned a couple 240Z's in my past. Neat cars but damn the rust in those things lol.....

There is a blue one in the Portland area w/ an LT1. Saw it last year in Sandy. I *think* the guy lives in Corbett.

Around the yakima valley they go for about $800 for a mid 80's rx7 and they are everywhere 90's about 1800-2000 That is with running engines without engines About half that

I vote for 55-56-57 shoebox. What a Bad Azz ride that would be. Too bad I don't still have my 56 shorty wagon for a donor, as it was a wheel stander with the old 327 in it.
