I was doing some looking around today just for kicks.

Anyways, I found that GMPartsdirect sells tires and seem to be pretty cheap.

For instance I looked at 275/40/17 BFG KDW
GMpartdirect: 158.80
Tirerack: 173
Costco 180.99

Now I don't know what shipping is from GMPartdirect or Tirerack, and then you have to mount and balance them too. I think costco's price includes all of that, so it may not be any cheaper, but something to keep in mind next time you're looking for tires.

GM Parts Direct tends to hose you on the shipping cost... My prediction is after all is said and done, with the cost of mounting and balancing, Costco would probably end up on top.

 

My experience with my local America's Tires has been excellent. They don't carry the tires I want, so I always have to order them. They give me Tire Rack pricing every time. They have always beat Costco by at least $10 each tire installed.

 

And I've found Discount Tire will give you the on-line price in their local stores. And LeSchwab will (on ocassion) beat that price.

 

Hey check out venus hankook. Those are super cheap. tire wear is pretty good handle burn out pretty good too. I think I payed 129 mounted and everything. for 275 35 or something can't remember 18's. But i'm also on the lowest discount possible at les .
