Default LT1 Questions Help????

Ok One of the reasons my husbands 95 Z did not make it to the track is for the last couple years it has been having a problem with the ABS/ TSR system It will go off at the oddest times. (by going off I mean you will be driving down the road & all the sudden you will see the lights that is off & Inpo in the little area & this could happen between 1mile of driving to 100000000 Miles of driving that day). Anyways I was talking to Don Berry last night & he said something about getting a Module code reader for it & finding out what the code is & getting it fixed.

So My questions are, What is a Module code reader? Where can I get one? How much are they? & what codes do I look for?

Could this also be caused by the rim swap we did a few years back with going with 17s (or are they 18s Heck I dont Remember) & then racing on 16s?

Also another problem I noticed (this HAS to be fixed before driving the car down to reno this year) is that the Check engine light comes on then goes out then comes back on (& it doesnt always do this) when you put the code reader on it, it doesnt aways show the code. What could be wrong?

I dont really want to dragrace the car with Dan gone while it is doing this. Heck half the time Idont want to drive it either but I have show fliers I have to pass out in the south area so its best that I drive it to shows.

Default Code readers...

The "module" code reader and an OBDII code reader are the same.

I looks like you have a code reader of some type. It would have to be able to pull the code out of the PCM's "history" and tell you what it is (some are unable to do that w/out secondary computing equipment, possibly a program).

You have an "Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module". Several (like, more than 2 dozen) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) can relate to this little item (and its associated components), from bad wiring to a bad sensor to a bad module. Gotta scan the PCM to find out...

Yes Chuck we have a Auto- Xray but that I know it only scans for Engine codes. It scans every year from 82 to present.

So I would need another one? or would someone be able to bing something to like a show & do the reading for me?

Hugs by the way & It was great seeing ya at the track friday night lol.
