I wish our gas prices were that low (or octane ratings that high) down here in LA

I'll second that. Although LA is probably a little higher than here in South Florida I'm still sick of paying 2.50 - 2.70 a gallon.

It's not just the oil companies that cause the price of gas to go up. Over 40% of the price goes to taxes alone. Over here on the left coast that is more like 50%. Therefore the price differences. Take off the taxes that this state has added over the last 8 years alone and you would be below $2/gal too. Go Olympia!! Screw us some more.

From what I understand that 93 octane is no better then our 91/92 octane in this area. The price rocks, though....

I can't go as far as I could in my CTD... but at least I don't have to pay almost 80 bucks every fill up either.

Man I can not believe some of you put that crap gas in your cars!

When ever jim used to fill on post with that crap we had to run it out and fill with good stuff before we could tune! Knock retard from hell! And Costco/Safeway?am=pm stuff is just as bad. you guy must LOVE running around in Low octain mode!

Then again it is your dime

Here is a little food for thought. We tried a test. Am/Pm gas against Shell in our Toyota Celica. On average I got 28 MPG with the Am/Pm gas. Switched and waitied a week. then started keeping track. Same drive the whole nine yards(60 miles a day average traffic.) we started getting 30.5MPG with the shell gas. not much but a 2.5 MPG gain AND the car just runs better. Now sure it is only a extra 25 miles a tank but it is worth the dollar differance(MAX .10cent diff a gallon x 10 gal) in a tank of gas

Still back when we paid almost $30 to fill the tank with 10.5 gallons it still hurt...

...I remeber the first time I filled my Z28 back in 97. had 1/3 tank still showing and only cost $14!!

Try filling your tank with vp c-12. I only buy 5 galons at a time and that is about 50$ for about 10 passes, so about 3 miles.
