ET streets question/ need help

ET streets question/ need help Does anybody know if I can put a 26X10.5 R16 on my 16X8 T/A rims? Do ET streets hook better then MT drag radials. I'm wondering if I can put a drag tire on my existing wheels that will work better then the drag radials.
I'm still spinning the MT drag radials @ 14 psi, please help.
I ran the T/A 14 times last sunday and 12 times the week before. The MT drag radials are looking pretty beat up already and I have like 800 miles on them.

Yes, you can put the 26x10.5x16 ET Streets on those rims... in fact, I have a set of 16x8 Firebird rims I use for mine.
ET Streets hook HARD for me... they hold anything I can throw at 'em, even the 6k+ clutch dumps.
Now, your radials should hold... I think a big problem is track prep probably sucks out at Monroe which doesn't help. Also, you gotta make sure you heat em up... I mean BIG smoke show for a radial. And if that don't work, try lowering the psi to 13 psi cold and see what that does. They should be holding for you...

Yes Jason the track is the problem. Those tires hook like a Mo Fo on the street. I'll try 13 psi this weekend. I've been doing 15 second burnouts. Sometimes the tires smoke up real good and other times there's hardly any smoke rolling off of them at all. It seems to depend what lane I'm in when I do the burnout. More smoke on the inside lane, I watched the video.

Last weekend my best was 7.57 which is not good enough to run in bracket 4. There's a few cars that run 7.52 in my bracket. For some reason I have not been able to match my personal best from last season.That's why I'm dissapointed. The T/A is running strong though, just not quite where I want to be. Hooking up is the key.
