Maybe you should just show up on some Mon-wed and just check it out ? For me it was like crack lol ! For about the first 3 months I went every payday I've really tapered off since then and haven't been open tracking for about a year and with a baby due in 2 months I don't know when I'll go again. I don't know of very many things that are more fun/challenging to do than open tracking. Give it a try .

You have to have gone through some kind of school or have lots of experience (documented) before they will let you hit the track on your own. There is limited passing in designated areas to keep all safe. If you do not follow the rules they will pull you off. I can go anytime and do not need an instructor at this point unless I do not go back for a year or more. Costs for the school is $450 using your car. Lapping days are about $160 plus the cost of an instructor if needed.

I just got back from my first time at Proformance. It was great fun. My only regret is that the day had to end. I think I fared better than most(physically/emotionally) because I drive professionally already and am used to keeping up hightened alertness and concentration behind the wheel. Every time we hit the track I found myself doing markedly better than the previous time. I also learned that the GTO is MUCH more responsive and smooth when TC is turned off. I was just really starting to get comfortable with the track(and my instructor had very little to do) when the day ended.
