Question Tuners in Washington?

Just wanted to see if anyone knows of any tuners around here. I live in Redmond. I have heard that the GTO's react well to a tune and was wondering who to contact and how much it might cost me. I do drive an 04 GTO M6.

Thanks

Al

I'm going to see TJ Wong in Vancouver, WA soon. Not close, but it seems like he's the man when it comes to tuning. Not that Ellis can't tune - but those idle tables are pesky, and he has a dyno, wide band O2, etc... In fact I would say Ellis is an excellent tuner as he can make your car run really good without having a dyno at his shop.

I think you need to try your mad skillz on red LS1 Camaros... in fact, I know a great test subject for ya.

Do you know how to take care of the pesky torque management? I understand Cartech has a fix for this, and a GTO will run mucho better.

I forget, what year is your vette? My HPT will scan any car, but can only adjust '02 model year. Get a bung and my WB will work also.

It's an 02 Quicksilver C5, the better looking color options for the C5's in 02.

I actually have the 96-97 LT1 files but they only bench tune right now. A GREAT tune can only really be done IN the car IMHO

BTW guys EFI Live is good stuff to! I have seen it in action

Take your time, bud... I think we all know how busy you've been, so I can be patient! This weekend will be the last race till next season for me anyhow, but I'm thinking I would like to get a new tune in there to go dyno when we all go to Turbo Tech for a dyno day next month.

Hey Ellis are aftermarket MAFs worth the $$$?

And I'm with Tranzor, take your time. It hurts getting beat by those Mustangs, but oh well. Anytime before the dyno day would be great, but the sooner the better (but no pressure).

I can actually answer for the Groo-ru on that one as I'm pretty sure what he would say... in a word, NO.

that about covers it! We can tune around MAF ends but a Crappy MAF stays and screws every thing up

My hpt program is year specific concerning y-bodys, meaning, all functions will work on your QS (second choice color, after blk, red, blue, yellow...) C5, or any other '02 vette. Change, scan and tune any parameter. I would be willing to let you use it after the season is over as my car will be coming into the garage for some mods over the winter. When you purchase HPT you get two years choice, mine 02 vette and I think 98 f-body (not certain on year).
I also am getting an upgrade cable to allow WB to be added in place of NB in HPT. But, you can still live data log onto the laptop using innovates software.

Okay the question is who wants to tune my car? How much are we talking about? 04 GTO M6. Stock right now but I am ordering the K&N aircharger kit next week. Where are you guys located at and how long will it take? Just a few questions.

Thanks
Al

LOL.

Yeah Cool that'd be great Rob. What's going in this winter if you don't mind me asking. Possibly headers, cam, and some 4.10s? If you ever decide to get rid of your 3.42s let me know.

Sorry, it's a secrect, can't have ya whipping my azz at the strip.

1. Thrid stage wet n2o
2. hardened output shafts (6000+ rpm launches)
3. carbon fiber drive shaft (launches)
4. LG headers
5. maybe a built 6-speed (handle all the torque)
6. mini tubs (345 dr for launches)
but we will see how the money thing goes, as I am trying to finish my Harley also. 4.10's are not needed on a Z06 as 1st 2nd and 3rd are lower geared than a C5 and thus equates to 4.11s until hitting 4th, then it's back to 3.42s.
