!It went off the map.....in fact, it scored higher than the 300C (both unbadged)
We aren't gonna build it; and while it's a couple of years old, I've placed it on the show tour for certain cities so that car enthusiasts can see it up close and personal.
(by the way......I don't think a car or truck should ever be judged until it's seen in person......pictures, for the most part, never do a car or truck justice)
I watched a show that featured the HHR where 5 aftermarket companies modified the Vehicle Two of them put an LSx in it.
When showed to GM executives. The Brand manger said " I told everyone you couldn't get a V8 in there and why whould you want one?"
That is why GM is going to ****.
Sorrry, just mad I can't get a new F-Body.

Now........I'd submit to you that if you suddenly became Chairman of the Board .......and you could see some internal (and industry) data.....perhaps you'd keep building FWD cars. That's not to say we shouldn't build RWD cars. Anyone who knows me will tell you that no one took the Camaro/Firebird Hiatus worse than I. But I would suggest that while we don't build fire-breathing cars up and down every segment, the largest segments...where money is made.....are primarily FWD sedans and SUVS/Trucks.
The HHR was built off the Cobalt Chassis. There isn't at this point in time a transaxle that will fit into the architecture that would handle the torque that a large V8 would produce. Yes, it's possible to do it, but can you imagine what the warranty cost would be?
Believe me.........there IS a bright future ahead if you want a RWD V8 coupe...I can't talk about it right now......but we are well aware that the Camaro is one of the top five most recognized nameplates in the industry.
Please......while I understand your frustration, please think before typing something so offensive.
I don't know you personally, but I know who you are. I remind you that Ford and Chrysler have no problem selling muscle cars along side their SUVs and FWD sedans.
As a publicly traded company, GMs numbers (and industry numbers for that matter) are quite available.
A bright future you say? At this point I will believe it when I see it. The line has been dead for 3 years now with no real hope in site. I have heard and read all the rumors, but I am a realist. It is time for GM to put up or shut up.
By the way, I am happy with my fourth gen T/A but I am tired of all the BS and stupid ideas coming out of Detroit. ("Gee, let's build a $100k Corvette for about 4 people but kill a whole line of cars that thousands can afford.")
