Merry Christmas... to me! My wife just got ran over in the Fred Meyer parking lot today in her new C230K right after I washed it. The front end is gone but Jacquie and all the kids are fine. No Santa or christmas lights tonight which is our tradition (she was on her way to see Santa). 20's something guy driving his 4x4 offered to pay cash to keep it off his new State Farm policy. Does he really think that the whole front end and hood for a MB is comparable to a Toyota? Sorry but No ******* Way! So come Tuesday we will be in a rental for a couple of weeks. Thank God for insurance, be it mine or his. Oh yeah, its on his parent's policy. Merry Christmas!

OUCH! Eric that is really too bad to hear. What an idiot, and he tries to play you off with the "Oh I'll pay for this BENZ's new front end cash.."? Merry Christmas and glad to hear everyone is alright!

Its super to hear your lovely wife and adorable children are okay - aside from being pretty shaken up I'm sure. We all know it could have been a great deal worse like the guy being drunk and in a bigger truck. Stupid as he is the car can be fixed, try not to let it get you down for the day and let your insurance pull his license and insurance for awhile...hopefully they will do both and get his *** off the roads (and out of parking lots too).

Damn Eric, that sucks! But the most important part is OK, and that is what counts. Hanging around the hospital for the last couple days reminded me of how lucky we are. Merry Christmas to you & yours!

Thanks for the cheer! Your right, it can be fixed. Good thing I wasn't there though. Jacquie commented on how guys react different than girls is these situations. She said the boys were just sitting there looking at each other while her and Savannah were screaming.
Amy, yep that would be me on Avondale everyday around 6:15am and 4:30pm. Sorry I have not seen anyone waving at me (flipping me off maybe). I will keep my eyes peeled.

Damn glad to hear the wife and kids are ok, Eric! That is by far the most important thing, stuff like cars can be replaced.
I'm glad you weren't there at the scene of the accident either, otherwise someone would probably have had to bail you out of jail!

That is really a bitch Eric. That parking lot can be a serious danger zone. People in Monroe don't know how to ****'n drive. Glad to here Jackie and the kids are ok. Hope you all had a good christmas.

I stopped screaming and closing my eyes after the second time, it was way more entertaining to see it all. The most that I ever said after that was "****. Here we go again!"

They think I'm just another wetoddid spazed driver for waving at them even when they know who I am. John sees you just about every other day - he's drivin that new blue stylin' Vibe with the dog fence in the back 
I think what irks me most are people who don't post but think it or in person say crap like "Oh, poor baby. Your new *Benz* (insert higher end car here) got hit. Whadda shame" in a sarcastic way. Everyone works hard for what they do have (thinking of Cory on this too). Its not like someone said 'here is a wad of cash, go blow it on an expensive car' so they act like you can afford to get creamed. I'll never understand that mindset.
And yeah - if you'd been there the other driver would be a news item. There is no way you would put up with your lovely wife and adorable daughter being upset by a completely stupid driver who thought there was a snowballs chance in hell of paying cash for the damage.
No price for peace of mind that your family is safe.
