Default Where to dyno????

Well I had to ask because Turbo Tech. (Which is closest to me) charges $50 for the first pull and $10 for each additional pull!!! So, I figured that I'd ask to see if there is a better/less expensive place worth driving to? I don't want to spend $20 in gas to go pay $40 though.........that wouldn't make sense. I plan on getting the Ol' Vette dyno'd come the weekend of the 15th.

Most every place you dyno will cost between $75-$100 for a dyno run. And that's usually limited to 3 or 4 runs max. Turbo Tech's price is right in line with everyone else...

Turbo Tech's prices are pretty darn reasonable. You gotta remember that these machines costs the shops anywhere from 30 to 50k depending on what they got. Not to mention that someone has to strap you down and run the machine. Not even to mention rent and other overhead that takes to run a shop like theirs. The going rate around here is $85 with a AFR reading. Sometimes one shop here runs a special for $30 for one pull. But you have to wait in line for hours depending on when you get there.

Post up a few days before you go, if I've got the day off mind a spectator? Haven't been over to Turbo Tech. I'd like to check it out and that'd be a good excuse to see a actual fast car.

Alot of times what we do is get a club rate, A bunch of us gets together to go to one of the many Dynos in the area & then everyone that is intrested in it spilt the cost of buying the dyno for the whole day. really fun time.

I seem to recall two dyno days last year, one around the beginning of the season, and another at the end. If you are planning to mod right away, then go get your baseline. If you aren't modding soon, and are willing to wait a couple months, there'll probably be a dyno day in the Spring.

I know some of the members have had less than pleasurable experience (I don't want to fester anything between anyone, Hell I'm not even sure what happened! ) but another local board www.cascadecrew.org is having a dyno day in portland the weekend of the 28th.

The standard rate for dynoing is $75-125 for 3 wideband pulls Jon, and somewhere between $100-200 an hour for tuning. I can usually get us better deals @ Little Monsters in Marysville than other places will offer cuz I go there a LOT. And one of the guys is on the Ford Drag Team. But I figure we will have a dyno day next month sometime, for sure by March. I hope to be ready by then, as should Ellis & a few others. Tho I'll probably have to pay for Ellis's dyno just so he'll help me tune mine.

Well I'm absolutely up to doing a dyno day, but there is one little problem..............I deploy at the middle to end of February and won't be back till Late June or maybe not even till the middle of July. So if we got one going before then, I would be more than happy to attend! However, if we can't get things going by then, I have been itching to see what this car makes! I've been in the dark for a very long time!

I was at the last dyno day held at Turbo Tech...........unfortunatly I had just installed a new rear differential and was still in the break in period! I'm glad I didn't dyno then too, cause come to find out the shop that did my clutch fucked it up and It needed Ellis's touch to fix! But, as far as the mods go, I have already done all my performance enhancing mods, minus the 150 shot of nitrous I plan on getting when I return from deployment! Other than the spray, a transmission brace is all I'm adding! I already went through the whole drive train and replaced everything short of the engine! New clutch, flywheel, master/slave, driveshaft, rear differential, and last but not least was the headers..........

Yeah........I'm hoping for 400rwhp, but I hear that may be a stretch with my LS1 heads and medium cam.

Dang! That's expensive! I go to Meridian Performance MPS in Bellingham myself. The last time I was there, I did 10 pulls with A/F, had my Holley rejetted and timing set, all for 162.00. I usually get 3 pulls with A/F for 50 bucks up there. Nice guys that know their ****, especially with BBC's.

I have a 2000 C5...........Bobby must have a Z06! They have better heads! Mine have been port and polished and have valve work, but they still aren't as good as the LS6 heads! I also have gears which won't help any!
