Bought a new car
Bought a new car I bought a new(new to me) car over the weekend, an 86 Chevy Caprice Station Wagon!! 2 tone silver and black $500 runs great, no dents or rust anywhere, has 108k on it a 305 and a 4 barrell, good breaks and fair rubber. Keeps the kids out of my car and now it can stay clean inside. Wife laughed when she saw it, your gonna drive that? Hahahaha I used to have a 79 Impala wagon before, they run for ever, cant kill that 305 motor and it doesnt have enough power to kill the tranny. Who wants to race? 
your lucky! i need to start saving up in the summer for a winter beater cause i dont like the winters here in seattle...and when my baby has a garage spot she can have some hybernation time.

We have an '86 Toyota Celica that we putt around in...Sure can't beat the gas mileage! Especially with the prices going up again!

I'll race you in my Subaru!!! It has 1.8 L of fury. I just got done changing the head gaskets, and while I was in there I ported the heads, put in new cams (nitrous grind) and hooked up a 100 shot (direct port). I also have a custom downpipe coming (oh yeah, I'm adding a turbo (was stock on some cars)
OK, so I really just changed the head gaskets and that's it. I might beat myself up if I did that other crap (especially since it has 1 port for 2 cylinders....now that's high performance)

Seems to be the season for people purchasing "alternate transportation". That's what my C4 is... the daily beater. 
Of course, with gas prices going up... filling a 20 gallon tank is rather painful.

Funny how big the gas tanks are in vettes I think the C5 is up there I know its a bit more money to fill the vette than the vert!
Congrats on the new car, think I found my beater car too thank god the Z06 is getting a little pissed I think its been out in the rain like 6 times now and is not happy with it! I picked up a 91 S10 4door blazer with 134k miles on it in really good shape. Just an ugly blue interior
