Default storage of vette

Hi,
I need some advice for the vette while Jon is deployed. I don't plan on driving it, should I disconnect the battery and add something into the fuel tank to keep the fuel from breaking down and causing problems? Jon will be gone for approximately 4 months.
A great big thanks for any help,
....(Jon's better half) Cindy

I will handle it for ya. Won't need to worry about the battery dying or adding anything (except more gas) to the fuel tank......I will even pick it up from you and deliver it when he gets back.

Yes fill the tank & add if you want some fuel stabalizer which helps the gas from breaking down.

Disconnect the battery.

also you might want to put it on jack stands but thats up to you guys.

Good idea, I will pick up what I need tomorrow...any fuel stabilizer recommendations? I don't think I will be able to get in jack stands though.
Thanks for the help.

Why would you fill the tank? I keep my fuel level low that I am running fresh fuel, am I doing it wrong?

I was told the less fuel in the tank the more chances of water or conenstion can get in to the tank. I could be wrong Steve

Yes, having airspace in the tank allows condensation and moisture to enter. It also allows room for evaporation over a large surface. When the tank is full the only area exposed to atmosphere is in the filler neck.

Keep it topped off.
