Dealers for service...
I gotta take my GTO in for some warranty work, and I was curious about people's experiences with various dealers around the area. I'd previously always taken my car to Kirkland Pontiac because they seemed to take care of me the best, but I haven't taken one of my Pontiacs in for service in a couple of years (I don't drive them all that often). I need to have the front alignment adjusted because of the strut rub issue with '04s... it's not bad, but it's really tight in there and it has rubbed a couple of times that I can see.
Is Kirkland Pontiac still any good? Or is there a better place to take them... I have to take it to a Pontiac dealer.

I go to Auburn Valley Pontiac, from your place just take 90 -> 18 to Auburn Way North. Howard's my service guy. In fact, I'm stopping by this morning for my first actual broken part...a bulb burned out.

I would say either Kirkland or Bellevue. Dan in Bellevue has taken good care of me when I needed little stuff done. When I took the car into Kirkland to replace the window motor under warrantee (and told them what the problem was) they still did a diagnosis and tried to charge me for it.

Kirkland has been good for warranty work, kinda surprised they haven't charged us for diagnostic work.
The only part that sucks is service first tells you if they can't fix it in half a day you get a rental paid for by GM.
A rush job is a poorly done job IMO.

I took my Grand Am to Kirkland because the ABS light was coming on... They couldn't find the problem and charged me 6 hours labor... wtf?
Turned out it was the wiring harness... Yeah, thanks guys, you failed on step #1 in diagnosing the issue..
Hopefully for them it was an isolated incident, but I won't be going back any time soon.
