Cobra News
Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday that it was recalling nearly 20,000 Mustang Cobra sports cars after receiving complaints that the back of the accelerator pedal could become caught in the floor carpeting and lead to a crash.

Ford told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in late January that it had received about 100 complaints and allegations of two crashes and one injury. The recall affects 19,140 Mustang Cobras from the 2003 and 2004 model years.
All you Snake owners beware!!! Don't need to be reading your obit....

I know Greg with the Mystichrome had his stick on the dyno once.
Mine is pretty sticky period.
And yes, the Cobras have different pedals.
Is there a link? I'm outside of my warranty but would certainly take my POS in if they're replacing.

Seriously that sucks, it should be an easy fix though.

We (Cobra owners) have known about this forever now. Many of us fixed it ourselves.
It takes 5 mins. It didn't take Ford to put out a TSB or a recall to figure it out.
That's a pretty serious issue though. Nothing like having a 600rwhp car and have the
throttle stick at WOT.
