"New" Cobras?

"New" Cobras? I have now seen (driving around the Lynnwood area) at least 2 different '05+ Mustangs with the "Cobra" emblem in the grill and they did look somewhat different then the "standard" '05+ GT.......I have looked on Ford's website as well as the SVT site and there is no mention of it......just a few pics of the Ford "Shelby GT500" from that Hot Rod article a year or so ago.......

They did not make a Cobra in 05/06. But I do know the new one is due out soon. It is called the Shelby GT 500. But it is a Cobra. There may be some out already but I am not sure. 
My wifes dealership has not seen one yet. They are supposed to be selling for 20 to 25 thousand over MSRP. 
I would never pay that much for a Mustang. 
You could almost buy an 06 ZO6 for that.

And no, I couldn't/wouldn't pay that kinda coin for a Mustang, $35-45k IF it is as good as it sounded in the magazine article.......
Rott, is one a yellow vert?
Last year I bout kinked my neck trying to figure out wtf this yellow, stang vert with the cobra emblem on it really was. Unfortunately the guy took a left and I couldn't catch up to see if there was any kit work done

The Shelby will be out fall this year.
There are a few people on forums who just can't wait and start faking their own. They're already selling the GT500 wheels.
You'll have to know the details too intimately to tell quickly what it really is which is tough for you Chevy guys. I still don't know the difference between a WS6 and non, other then the hood ... and if that person switched hoods ....
Don't know what to tell you other then it was probably a faker. ALTHOUGH ... there have been quite a few test cars spotted on the roads in various parts of the country.
One important detail is the SHELBY left aligned on the trunklid, and "bump" in the hood followed by two vents.

I saw a 60s GT350 ver the other day on 520 bridge, that was sweet. Also could it maybe be a Saleen? I've seen a fee Saleen 05+ Mustangs, don't know if they have a Cobra emblem though.

The yellow vert had to be a kit or something because it was too weird seeing the Cobra...on a vert. Not keeping up but I don't ever remember any 1st gen Cobra Verts being factory.
Just found out one of our neighbours has rebuilt two 1960's GT350's and is working on a third right now. I just thought they were old barns but ITS A FREAKIN FULLY TOOLED RESTORATION GARAGE
That thing is gonna be sweet once he's done with it. I keep telling him if he hears anything in the middle of the night its just me in the garage and to go back to sleep

Maybe there is just a couple guys with GT's who have added the emblems and done some exterior mods to their cars...........that is the only other thing I can think of.

WELL,..........there is,.....something out there for DAMN sure!!! some guy in a light red mustang WITH a supercharger just introduced himself to me on 90 and boys,..... I got nutten for him, I **** you not! OH, he couldnt just pull away but he could pull out in front! No question about a cam for me now I might be looking for a H/C package if the price is right but damnit I have to pass emissions?????

Back in late 03, there was a program to buy an 04 Cobra under lease and get first priority and other incentives for the "new" Cobra.
I still have the pamphlet around here somewhere ...
