Terrible day at the track
Driver had trouble at the light as well. Best rt was .097 worst was .775
Left traction control on once by accident for a run as well, had to switch it off as I was shifting from 1st to 2nd. Still I didnt lose a run, drove by just about everyone I lined up with. Only had one race where I lead start to finish.
Clutch has issues as well or maybe its the trans. Not sure but it has a vibration after in 3rd gear from 70 mph on and whe I shift I can feel something not sure what it is though. All in all I learned a lot. The crew at Woodburn was very nice as well. I made a few rookie mistakes and they were very nice about it. SO my best run was a 13.390 with a 2.363 60', 5.883 330', 8.8 1/8 mile, 11.03 1000', 13.390 1/4 mile at 108.43 mph Very unimpressive
My worst 60' was a 2.47 and my best was 2.168. not matter what I was about 108 at the trap on all my runs, only made 4 total before having to limp home with brake issues.
MY reaction right now is that I need to take the clutch and trans out and see whats up there. I need to buy a pair of 15"rims and some Hoosiers if I want to hook I guess. I know the car is faster than that, I've run a few hi 11 low 12 second cars and beat them without trouble on a roll. Just cant get off the line or my car is a dyno queen
As far as the brakes. It looks like the line lock leaked and thats what caused my failure. When I used it on the burn out it must has leaked all the trapped fluid out. I kind of felt something as I was letting go of the button, thought the brake went soft but it was real quick and I wasnt real sure. They grabbed without hesitiation as I was staging but after the run I hit them and the pedal went to the floor as I pushed harder to try and stop. For a quick second I thought I was gonna drive off the track but they seemed to come back a little at the end plus I was down shifting to try and slow it down as well. Got back to the pits and they were pretty firm again. Popped the hood and saw the puddle of fluid under the line lock so my day was done. Bad part is my budgets just been cut completely so theres no way I can have Tom do some logging and try and see whats up. Oh well. I can fix the line lock myself and then I'll run again and see if it does any better. Not much I can do about the clutch and trans right now either. The good news is I could have run for the money. I was fairly consistent, slow but consistent
No matter what my rt or 60' was I was at about 13.43 and 108. Would have been nice to work on my launch if the brakes hadnt feked up. I swear I get better traction on the streets. I might have been to hi in the rpms at the line as well. I was anywhere from 2500 to 4000 rpms

A bad day is getting up @ 5am and driving 80 miles to race. Get 1 run in and some ******* breaks his rear and drives all the way down the track.
3 hours to clean it up. Then the rain comes.
The rain stops and the track is just about ready---Another downpour,
**** this, I'm going home.

There is nothing worse than driving all the way there, then sitting there doing nothing all day. We need a track in Marysville...that's all there is to it!

We REALLY need to cover this crap better. if we have been at the damn track for over 5 hours and elims have not started it is time to call the freaking race!
this is the EXACT reason I quit doing SCCA SOLO II races!
I couldn't agree more, I know everyone pays to go, but as our own little entity, we could call our own race and reschedule on a Bremerton test and tune night or have it on a another day.
On a side note, man there was an Awesome 3rd Gen out there running 11.40 at 120...What a car guy spent a lot of time on it!
Also the ole Camaro managed to squeeze another .10 and 1 mph out it 14.103 at 98.43 mph.
