Default Royal Purple

So does anyone use it? They had it at Westbay, I normally run Mobil 1 in the Truck and the Trans Am. It was Trans Am oil change time so I got the Royal purple. My first impression was the car ran quieter and smoother. I was wondering if anyone uses it regilously and if they were having good results.

I ran it for a while. Make sure you get the street oil and not the race oil like I did My engine was not very clean inside after using the race oil for a season

All they had was the street oil. Yeah I debating whether or not it is worth it.

A lot of the vette guys run it in engine, trans and rearend with good claims. I was going to use it myself, but couldn't find it local. So, I went with Mobil 1 syn through out.

I run RP 5w-30, you will definitley see a difference. In my last car Mobil 1 was ran the entire life, I switched to RP and found the engine to run much smoother and more quiet. I think they score pretty well on tests as well, there is a resident oil guy who has a site and everything... can't think of his name right now but search Oil and I bet you'll track it down. It's a bit spendy but I take my car very seriously, so I have no problem buying the most expensive if it does a good enough job.

I use RP throughout the car. The engine runs quieter, and the trans runs cooler. It ranks a VERY close 2nd to Redline in all the tests. You can buy it at most NAPA stores now. On line you can buy it much cheaper than Redline....
