Lets Go!
I want to give a huge thanks to Mark for helping me get the car ready. I am swapping out the tires right now and just need to freshen up a few bottles in the AM before heading to B-Town
We did some base tuning to dial the car in. she is a little rich but I can tweak that at the track now
All I can say is the car is a Brutt! we got it to almost hook from a 30MPH roll abd I thought the tire were coming off the ground
Lets hope it all goes well this weekend!
Thanks Mark!

Brute is an understatement! More like FUGGIN MONSTER Ellis....whatever name that describes feeling like you were shot out of a cannon. And I thought it lifted the tire when it SLAMMED 3rd on the last run with the new bottle. DAMN!!!
I can't guarantee your car will take over first place, but it felt capable. I KNOW I am dropping to 4th, even tho I should run a new best time Saturday. There is just NO way.....your car showed it was at least as fast as mine on the drive home from Dannys BEFORE we started tuning & put in the full bottle.
And I was only too happy to help Ellis. That was fun! Good luck today & have fun!

From what we can tell a fresh bottle every three rounds...Four if you are pushing it but may runn out going through the trapps.
00Vette get your car out here and practice your driving! What you can do is start by hitting the button in 4th and work your way backi to the limit
Come on out tonight every one!

A good rule of thumb with nitrous is this:
It is consumed at a rate of .8 lbs per 100 shot per 10 seconds. Of course there are variables like bottle pressure and what not to factor in too and you usually on get roughly six lbs of "sweet" nitrous in a 10 lb bottle. The last four lbs is usually not quite as hard hitting or is initially and then trails off near the end of the run.

I'll be there mid morning. I have to go fill my bottles. Got the car back into the mid 11's tonight, so I am slowy getting it dialed back in. I could do it quicker, but I play it safe as to not blow anything. The track was prepped great and you could make as many passes as wanted.
Ellis, I will be bringing ya 5 gallons of Trick 105 and 5 for myself.

Thanks Guys.
Eric she is shooting 10Lbs a minute at the moment maybe a little more. Three runs is pushing it. I need three more bottles at least it looks like. On the third round she starts to tapper off. So if I am going to keep using it out of the hole it is only two rounds per bottle starting with 1050Psi.
Over all the night went well. Used about 22Lbs of N2O in six passes. I was going to baby it the first round but the guy in the other lane gave me the "Eye" and it was over before he knew it On the third light I hit the gas and the juice at the same time. she spun like a bitch and hooked about ten feet out. Off I went straight as could be! My 10.34@132 to his 11.030@120. He was more excited then I was on the return road LOL! He got to see what I ran and I did not
So back in the pitts we rest the tires and checked the bottle pressure. 900Psi, hit the heater and brought it up to 950Psi and went again.
This time I drew a full on race bike. We were real close coming out of the hole but I was spinning again THEN it hook and I blew by him like he was standing still! He was suprised and the wheel came up on him. my 60 was 1.523 to his 1.572. Once he got it back on the ground he got me about the 330ft. in the end it was his 9.44 to my 10.34@133
Next round not much better and it spunn harder and started puffing oil. 10.43@131.7 Back in the pit we found the dip stick and popped out. some duct tape and she was good to go
So here we are sitting at the line on the forth round. full stall. Lights come down and I ppull the trigger! Car kicks to the rgiht and I start the driving contest! I missed the tree by a few feet but not much LOL! I had to lift to get it straight and not 'Zeke' it (sorry had to ). I should have stayed out of it and saved the juice but I didn't and ran a 10.80@123.
I ask them to shot the track for me but they said ti was hooking for the other, slow, cars.
over all the next pass's the car spun really hard. BUT the last pass against a hybusa yielded the best pass. He was in it till the 1/8th but I had spanked him by then
Last and best pass that secured my 2nd place position was a 10.32@133 with only a 1.52 60ft
Every one was blown away with how fast it was.
With good track prep the car might hook before the 60ft mark
air was over 2000DA the whole time and 80+ degree's
car is VERY stabil
I will offer no real excuses for not doing better but I will say I think she will go faster
I will have full bottles again tomorrow but with it not hooking I will not be wasting them on CCCA
BTW I have a plan for a shot out in better weather "D

Damn, Ellis, that thing is quick, congrats. I guess this winter you'll have to forge the bottom end for my ls6, then next year we'll see. I hope to at least get into the 10's, but it's been a slow progression. cn't even get back to my pre new mod times, but oh well that's racing. You should be getting some air with those times when you finally hook well. again congrats on all the hard work, it's now paying off.
