Gauging Interest Is there a demand for a good corvette or late model GM peformance shop in montana? I am thinking of opening a shop in that state and wanted some feedback. Also where in montana would be the best place?

I believe there is a 1/4mi dragstrip in Billings but I have no idea what the performance car scene is like there. ? Missoula would probably do well, especially if you put in a dyno facility. I know lots of performance minded people there, and they're always complaining about no dyno's in the area. You'd probably be getting a lot of the turbo diesel trucks on your dyno, but it would bring a LOT of business to your shop and probably pay for the dyno.
If you're serious about opening a shop in Montana, it's not going to be successful with a small niche' market like you're suggesting. It would have to be much broader, like; GM, Imports, F*rds, turbo diesel trucks etc... If you had the mindset to cater to this broad of a spectrum, your business would flourish there.
