Race Damage Here's a picture of the damage inflected on my U-joint....sheared one side completely off.
I guess that's what severe wheel hop does when you have as much power as I do.
Luckily, thanks to Jimbob
, I was able to get a new u-joint put in.
Though I was able to make it the 5-8 miles back to my house, I was limited to about 15 mph. One of the yoke tabs that holds the u-joint cap on was also sheared off and I lost the cap not long after leaving the track. Luckily I was stil l able to get power to the tires enough to roll on home. Took me about a half hour to get home.
So now I'll be ordering a new billet yoke as well as some new u-joint girdles. Also probably retire the truck from drag racing until the new suspension setup is in.

I have had good luck with Lakewood driveline products. I had a BB 454 ls5 that would break all the time, so I had went all Lakewood, then I sheared the the driveline completely in 1/2 about 6-inches from u-joint.
