Default In the game

I will back-up Boyce, he was in the ORR game all last season. He is also very good in the navigators seat. In fact we were on the podium at every race and entered the 200mph club. So he has been around but just playing a different game.

I am glad it is finally finalized. Now you can get re-focussed on other issues.

I know, I was just giving him grief Jeff. You 2 were quite the team last year. But your car is on the auction block, and Boyce & Bill are whining they don't have a rig to run.....seemed like an obvious solution for all 3 of you to me. And it would give Boyce something positive to think about.

Just because the race car is for sale does not mean I am out of racing. So unless Boyce buys it I hope he will still nav for me. I do see the point you are making though. We will not be quite as fast (unless I can't stop myself from a twin turbo set up), but we will share driving duties. As I was warning you I am addicted, I can't stop myself.

The TT (if I was to do it and that would not be this year) would go on a yet to be bought C5 Vette. I am looking to be street legal but fast (how fast is yet to be decided). That ATS TT set-up looks very interesting, but would involve a total motor up grade.

Sounds interesting Jeff. How much trouble is it getting used to the turbo lag coming out of corners at speed? I'm a little concerned about my converter flashing to 4500 rpm with boost behind it......hopefully my track day at PR this spring will get me used to it.

Peter at APS claims little to no turbo lag with this system. They are offering the system shipped for $6995. Oh the temptation, if the race car had sold I would be all over it.

What he said exactly There are lots of analogies to describe the proper method, the one that works the best for me is "you're in a bathtub and the water level is an inch from the top ....DON'T SPILL ANY !" .

Ease the throttle on and ease it back off. Squeeze the brake down then ease back off of it. The faster you're going the more this applies. A couple of lapping days will do more for your confidence than 10 years of street driving ever could. Nothing quite like knowing EXACTLY what your car will do in differant situations and knowing what you're going to do about it when you find yourself there.

So "mash the throttle as soon as you can see the road after you clear the apex" isn't literal huh? I need some seat time.....

Something about "mashing" the throttle at the apex and 600+ rwhp makes me want to get my video camera out ! j/k !
