Is it an ORR requirement?
Smart-*** comments aside, rolling along at 140mph, should my car pop a gasket, I don't want it to burn to the ground before I can get it stopped like a new Viper did a couple years ago at an ORR.
(plus my car has 1 gal of meth on board)And if you saw Ellis' video of the last race he went to, a low 10 second car has the ability to get away from the best of drivers in a New York second. So again, should it hit the wall, I don't want a fire adding to the carnage.
I just want to be safe. I usually go beyond what is required in this area. This system has a 2.5 gal tank of foam solution with a Co2 cartridge to spray onto the engine & gas tank (they way I'm setting it up). And then I have a fire extinguisher in the car (which is all that is required for my car) to put us out.

J/k mark. What type of foam is it? If it's halon just make shure there is little chance for it to get to the passanger compartment before you get out or you just might not get out. Remember halon displaces o2 very quickly.

I got a funny mental picture there of wyle coyote and a wisp of smoke
