Default Coming Toegther

I talked to ATI today. The super charger & new plenum should be here by next Wed. If I can get the wheel wells & stuff cleaned this weekend (after Ellis & I get the tranny back in), I just might have it ready in time for the show. (got me a bottle of Menzerna Intensive Polish & some new pads too)

Then I can start thinking about tuning it for racing....dirt BAD!

First it was leaking from the front & rear seals. (not going to a BIG car show with leaks) Second it had 2 full racing seasons on it. Even a Speed Secrets 4L60E has it's limits.....

Ah, has Ellis taken a look at it yet? If so how did it like a bunch of 10 second passes?

WOWZERS! That's impressive Ellis. We need to post some pics of your POS tranny in the transmission forum. And people say you can't make a 4L60E stand up to 800hp....and you didn't even do ALL of your secret mods.

And I did some rough figuring based on the number of events I attended:

Year 1 with 500hp cammed motor running 12s - 6 CCC races, 5 TnT, = ~ 75 passes
Year 2 with 800hp blown stroker motor running 10s - 11 CCC races, 1 pro event, 3 TnT = ~ 100 passes
Dyno runs = ~ 50

So it made 175 1/4 mile passes, 50 dyno pulls, plus ~ 5k miles of driving, and who knows how many test runs on the road. And it still looks like new inside? Not too shabby Master Groo.

PS And the leak was caused by me leaving the tranny mount bolt loose.

Don't get those tranny gods all upset. They tend to get freaky when you are not running one of there box's or do not do things there way. I always try to be open to new things while they are pretty set in there ways.

Do not even think about rocking the allison god's boat! Talk about my way or no way LOL. I plan on tipping there boat over

Hmm, considering a 4L60E for the Brute so I can drive it around more places. Interesting.....

Yeah, I know what you mean. My damn Speed Secrets TH400 has two seasons on it and I'm pushing it to a third. We'll see if it can stand up to another 150 NA horsepower.......
