Camaro Update
I thought I'd take a minute to let everybody know what was going on over here.
First, Jack is almost three weeks old and is doing FANTASTIC! The little guy is showing us all the cool things in life. Jill had a great experience today, little Jack managed to time the diaper change to the second! Just put it this way, pee and poop everywhere!
Second, The old turbo system is sold and gone. It shipped out last week, new owner is in New Hampshire. It shipped out in Five boxes. Kinda sad to see it go...
Now on to the Camaro...
Spent a few days and upgraded the fuel system. What I did was to add -8An feed line from the tank via a bulkhead fitting. The Dual walbro 340's have a new hot wire wiring harnes (one pump runs continuously, one off a Hobbs switch at 3psi). Each pump has a 5/16 line, then goes to a y-fitting, to a 8 AN bulkhead fitting, to 8An feed line, inline filter, then up to a boost referenced Fuel Pressure Regulator, then feeds new billet fuel rails. The return from the regulator, returns to the tank via the factoy feed lines.
With the base pressure set to 60 psi and the dual feed pumps and the 60lb injectors (at 45psi), it should be good for a few Horse power...
George ordered the new turbo for the kit on Friday. Its a doozy! Turbonetics 83mm, mid frame, Ball Bearing, Monster! Turbonetics rates it at 1200hp. As soon as it comes in to Turbo Tech, the car goes down for the makeover. George is also going to build me a cutom intercooler for the kit, so that I can keep it air to air.
On a side note, Art Morrisson is bending up my 10-point bar this week. One of the other interesting thing that comes with the next time bracket is that a master cut off switch is REQUIRED. So, even if you don't have your battery relocated, you still have to have a cutoff switch on the back of the car. which pretty much means that you should go ahead and relocate the battery. So, all of those parts are on order....

Congrats on making some headway with the car though. Do you have a timetable for having it back on the track ? I'm glad to hear your little boy is doing well too. They can make a bad mess can't they ? Mine crapped in my bed this morning haha ! I don't even get excited about that kind of stuff any more Bill
I do not get to work on my car much any more....So I had Mark work on it today
It is once again gutted and I am looking at what it takes to get the other two points in My self.We did find some thing that made me choose to install at least one 'X' in the cage. I have twisted the rear 6x6 plates in the car and now they need some re-enforcing. Was realy strange to get the carpet out of the rear and find that flat deck area twisted and crushed
After seeing some of the carnage I am really glad I did the passenger door bar! Now to design the front half of the cage so it does not interfear with my head or my view!
So Ryan how much stuff is coming out of your car and not going back in? I can't wait to see your car go down the track!
The fuel system sounds sweet. Are you still using he stock fuel tank with that setup? After our last discussion on boost's affect on fuel pressure I was toying with the idea of rescaling my inj tables up hi to compensate. But my system would hold 60 psi so what's the point? Yours however....
As for the kid, we actually have a picture of our boy "spouting off" years ago when the wife was changing his diaper. Timing is everything.....aren't those little guys great?
Anyway, I can't wait to see your car run this year.
So George is doing the install?
Glad to hear the little one is doing well. Ah pee pee and poop everywhere. I love it when that happens!

On the subject of your fuel system, do you have a One Way valve for the secondary pump? With that pump you probably dont have to worry about backflow but having that much pressure leaning on it with it not running for long periods of time might not be too good for it. Probably not necessary but safe than sorry ya know?
Also rigging up a warning light that comes on if the secondary pump isnt running is another thought.
Knowing how limited your old turbo system was and it running as good as it did this new set up should really rip. I should probably go warn a few of my turbo mustang buddies.

Also, I forgot to add that I just installed my SJM ABS delete kit with Wilwood proportioning valve and Line lock. Nice kit!
I'll get some pictures up in bit.
