It's ALIVE!!!! After 10 long hours of wrenching, we got the Brute to fire. We only ran it a few minutes due to a minor coolant and fuel leak but it ran. No oil leaks, no tappng or rattles. It sounded SWEET uncapped and fairly vicious. I'm gonna take care of the hickies tomorrow and see if I can at least take it down the road a bit. The boys were STOKED after hearing it run for the first time in more than a year, so was I.

I'll have the minor stuff done tomorrow but I won't have my vacuum pump till later in the week so no power brakes or trans modulator till then. I've gotta get the plates renewed this week too. I'm hoping to make it out to Kartrax next Sat. night but no racing for it yet. I've got a new Aeromotive 2000 350 GPH pump coming as well as a Mallory 3500M duel supply 550 GPH filter. That'll let me run both systems from the filter with a big single pump and eliminate the plumber's nightmare in the trunk. Right now, she's configured for N/A only. Waiting for the cowl hood too.
