Default LS1 going together

MY LS1 is gettin gput back together. Today the guys at Lee's Machine in Co Spings Co did some work on the LS1.

Milled the cylinder and heads a bit, honed the cylinders, threw the crank on the lathe and did some other measurements and machining.

Big thanks to Comp Cams! CC stuff and lots of nice goodies from Summit racing showed up as well.

Bought an LS6 intake & ported TB from, 2002BLKWS6, here on the LS1 boards that will go on as well. I'm not going for a 1/4 mile machine, since this is going in my jeep. It'll be more power right off idle, and hopefully some very usable TQ and power throughout the range, and still maintain good street manners, and driveability.

Front of of jeep chopped off...

New frame section, rasied about 2.5 inches from stock.

Thanks!
Ya it shold be fun for sure. Im setting it up so it will drive down the street REALLY nice, jump, hit whoops and crawl anything I throw in front of it.

I know it's a bit different than most of the rides here, but I thought the true gear heads would enjoy chacking it out. And once it's done, if anyone that is local wants to check it out it would be cool to meet up some of the other motor heads form the board.

Looks like the end result will be badass. Can't even imagine all that power in such a light little thing. If the engine ever dies in Probe in the near future and I have extra cash laying around I always thought about throwing a RWD setup underneath. Would be one hell of a sleeper and I am sure no one would expect seeing a FWD car do a wheelie.

My friends dad had a jeep with a built 350 in it.

Nothing like smoking mudders.

Thing was stupid fast.

Here's a more in depth build thread of the whole rig.
