Actually I was just joking, any woman that would let me come home with a brand new C6 Z06 is a pretty good woman. And she actually likes the car! This was my second time around in Kauai, the last time was over 20 years ago, and things really haven't changed too much, there is a ton more vacation homes there but they don't stand out like whats happening on the other islands such as Maui or Oahu. But one thing that is bad is the traffic, when I was there last there was never any traffic to have to deal with. It seems that the tourist traffic was increase ten fold over what it was since I was there last.

Yep, back to the grind. I would have liked to have stayed in Kauai but the cost of living there is horrendous! Most people there have at least two jobs. To live there in a cracker box of <1200 sq/ft on your own land would require a job of at least 35/hr or two incomes. A modest home on a small lot there that costs maybe 200k here would be more than double or even triple there! Not to mention that most jobs there are in service like, waitress, waiters or farming. There isn't much in terms of industry there other than tourism. A dyno shop like mine would have a hard time there, maybe in Honolulu. In Kauai there isn't enough road there to even get a decent run in any LS1 car or for that matter any car with any performance. Average speeds there are 35 mph, the roads run out and are only two lanes. In Honolulu there is some freeways with a little more room to play but not much. I saw a Z06 in Wakiki, and one C6 in Kauai which was most likely a rental car!
