Salt in oil?
After I pull the pan I confirm that infact there is something clogging the pickup tube. At first I thought it was sand as the bottom of the oilpan had 1/2" of it evenly across and the pickup screen was completely clogged with it.
The material looked almost like glass particles....I finally cleaned some of it off and tasted it.... SALT! WTF? Why would that much salt end up in the bottom of the pan?
Ever heard of this?
Think the motor was perminently damaged? It does sound fine, no knocking or clanking...
Wierd huh?

Sounds like someone hated the guy you picked the car up from.
And I'm told that is the only way to determine for sure if they are real or implants.....

No idea how the salt would wind up there, would think someone had to pop the hood to do it. Wouldn't wind up there if someone threw it in some gas would it?
