Ordering new tires

Ordering new tires Well I ordered new tires for the vette today. Winter tires that is. I'm going to have to drive it this winter, so the current tires won't do for the snow. I'm getting some Sumitomo HTR+ in a 245/45/17 and 245/40/18 to put on the stock tires. The rear tires are narrower than stock, but will fit the rims and should actually do a little better in the snow than 275.
I'll probably only run these from Nov - Feb.
I had this tire on my Formula when I lived in KS and drove in the snow. They did pretty good. And they're cheap.
I guess this is the price I pay for selling off all my other vehicles....but I'm glad they're gone. I guess if it gets really snowy I'll just drive the Silverado and drop my wife off at her work.

We've had a long period of cooling lately. Summer was very mild and winter was pretty 'fun' for those in the Seattle area. I remember the posts about not wanting leave f-bodies behind in the snow...and FREAKING getting tickets in some places for it even though there was no other option. Oh what a year it's been!

Damn that would really suck. I am glad I can garage mine and drive either my Dodge, or Cherokee. But I am hoping to sell my cherokee here soon, that way I can by my heads and cam around december time frame. lol. So yeah I will still be suckin. lol.
I love crappy weather. I was in Va when Hurricane Elizabeth hit, I was stuck on a 60 man crew on the ship, We were dry docked. Well I sat up in the captians chair for probibly 5 hours. Just to watch the trees fall down and the roofs blowing off peoples houses. I have some pretty neet pics. I need to find them,
