I hope you ren't getting to cranky over there Robert. Years ago my world was ALOT smaller then it is today. I am not that old, but my eyes have been opened up beyond what guys are doing with just their on type of little vehicle. I used to make a big deal about Lists, etc etc just like this. I was building "The fastest LT1 car in the Nation" until my eyes opened up some and saw I could have a Mid 7 second Car for LESS then what was going to be a High 8 second Car, just to be on someone's little list.

A guy that can afford a Z06 Corvette, can probably afford an actual purpose built racecar, and actually go race somewhere someway competitively. If thy are THAT good, they wouldn't need much money because they'd be getting paid to do it. You don't have to have a 150k Turnkey car.

I understand not everyone is interested in doing any of that. Thats cool. I slowed my program down by 2.5 seconds. Simply due to lack of interest vs. dollars spent.

Until I see Jeg Coughlin, Peter Biondo, Dan Fletcher or hell even locally Brad Plourd, Jody Lang or any number of other people, on a Corvette Forums List, I will not be convinced.
If I had a wally, it would certainly be in my sig, for sure, and congrats, as not everyone gets a chance to get one. The names you quote, they prob don't have a Z06 or don't care, and that's cool. But it just happens to be my thing, oh well. Others seem to have more of a problem with it than I do. Maybe I should re-state the best driver thing, best non professional drivers, as per most of this board. Though a few Wally guys are around (you, george, and?).

Robert less people would have a problem with it if you would stop choking them with it

Well like you said, not everyone has the same goals. Mine are to have fun with a true street/strip car. I happen to like the lists, but oh well, that's my little world. Though I have been around drag racing for 51 years. My father was a NHRA Fuel Altered driver back in the days before they got banned. want a real wild ride, those were about as crazy as it gets. Walls of trophies, so the trophy thing really isn't my goals, though getting that dyno trophy was nice, it's sitting (lol) right on my desk in front of me. Not cranky at all, it's kinda fun having guys that respond to a little prodding, how else would I have known your credentials?

Ok, advice taken. Can I choke something else though, like a neck?

Feel free to troll around anytime Kurtis! I missed seeing you run last season. I took a break, plus Chris didn't have the room for me with his daughters 10.90 car in the hauler now. Wish I had made it to one event now that I've seen that upper 6 second time. Last time I saw you run was in Woodburn in August of 06. If memory serves you were running 7's in that Orange Mustang??

Yeah, the red car ran 7.0s when I sold it. The 07 was in the 6s, but it just became too much effort for the payoff (Time and money both). The Nova I have now is jut a nice little car runs bottom 9s, with high 8s for next season on tap... About 1/10th the effort, and almost the same fun. Going fast is fun, but it isn't THAT important for me.

I'll still go to a couple of the Divisionals, probably Seattle and Boise as they'r my 2 favs. Hopefully see ya over there. I may drag it over for something else in Seattle just for ***** and giggles.

Mark, its tough to wash cars in the 8 inches of snow we got over here last night.....

But what's up with all the Honda's on the lift? Is that where thy park in between Honda races?

Dont get me started... I've left the "H" word out of the forums otherwise George might fire me lol. hehe

George owns the whole building and rents the second half of the shop to his brother who is a really good performance and even general maintenance technician for HONDAS only

And you guys thought the smack talking was over... re reading this again you compare my absolutely bonestock longblock, not even headers, full on street car, to a race car. I would hope that he's faster (Ponygobler) than my stocker. However, we have not yet seen what the new 408 can do, now have we? think it might run a little faster than my bonestock 10.8, I do. Now who's LMFAO, me that's who, a great honor to be continually compared to race cars, lol. Round two, ding, ding, ding.

Oh yea, Chris my buddy, we are coming to smash your Vette numbers and reclaim the Vette HP title, nothing personal, but...

Don't gloat too much Robert. I think Sardog still has you covered for fastest stock block & sprayed LS1 powered car in these parts. He ran 10.7 as I recall, but that was in a WS6 and everyone knows how heavy they are. He had a 6sp too, so even that excuse is out....

You should let sleeping dogs lay. You are still trying to even come close to my full street car times with your 408 and ten million stages to my Lowly old 380 LT1 and a single stage. . . .
