Default New addition

We have a new addition to the family

more pics at gallery.mac.com/hitmanlsx

picked her up today over in bremerton.

She's a 2 mo 2 week old german shepherd possibly lab mix. We wanted to get another before max left us as he's getting on in years.

Just thought I'd share

Cute, but I thought you couldn't afford a pet deposit?

we sold some items we didn't need anymore. Like my windows mobile phone and her nintendo ds. The dog was free so we just had to worry about the deposit.

Did you need only the one deposit for both dogs? Just curious, some that are looking to rent have two dogs, no cats but can't find anyone to rent to them.

It was $500/per for the deposit 200/refundable per plus $15/pet for pet rent. Amanda's dad is paying the deposit for Max because he felt so bad for the guy. He got depressed when they took him up to her parents for a week.

We picked up a pop-up crate today and as soon as I put newspaper in it she went right in laid down and went to sleep lol. She snuggled with amanda all night last night. And when I woke up to get ready for work she followed me into the bathroom did her business on the newspaper and went back to bed lol.

Now to just get her obedience/leash trained and break her of the whining when we leave. Hopefully when we pick max back up today, some of his good behavior might rub off on her.

oh those cute little puppy days.... miss them, want another puppy so bad but I think Jake would have a stroke. He's so jealous of something getting attention instead of him..lol

She'll probably stop wimpering when Max is there when you guys leave. She wont be alone with him to keep her company.

Cool dude, glad the family can stay together.
She almost looks like there is some collie in her too - means she might grow to be big but fly like the wind

Ya know what amy after reading that I did some research, her coloring is almost exactly what a lot of border collie shepherd mixes look like. So I think you're right. She was part of an oops litter and they never got a good look at the dad, but said he was black and jumped their fence, thought it might be a lab. But with how well border collies do with agility courses I'm not surprised.

Here's some pics of Max and Raven's first night meeting:

Beautitful pup!! And the senior GSD looks like a sweetheart too.

Man I miss the puppy stage, but then again I don't miss some of it. Like getting up every two hours for a month, the pup screaming bloody murder like your torturing it when you leave for the day and he's in the crate and all that fun stuff.
