So what is the deal with the driveshaft loop for cars running faster than 13.99. Will tech look for a DS loop on my car and not let me race. Or can I get one run in before anyone takes notice?

I understand the reason for having a DS loop but I'm not going to have one put on by Saturday and frankly I'm not inclined to have one installed on a stock car regardless.

Are you aware of anyone being turned away for not having one in a car that maybe runs a couple seconds quicker?

He has a new Z06, I think he'll run considerably faster than that unless he's smoking the tires like Cheech & Chong off the line.

Does a Torque Tube sort of count as a DS loop? I mean seriously I'm not aware of a DS loop that will even work in conjunction with a TT. At this point I'm not going to worry about it.

Yeah no problem about the loop. That would be retarded to cut the tunnel plate so you could put in a loop!

Hey Joe. How fast your plan on going? You are pretty much safe until 11.49.

Then you need a bunch of stuff including a roll bar. DS loops on you car are for the two rear axles BTW

I've got to say I'd be happy with breaking into the 11's, but really 11.799 or better is what I'm hoping to get. With the last one (C5) I managed a 12.60 with 2.0 60's and ~348 RWHP so I'm thinking with ~465 RWHP I can knock off nearly a second. It's going to come down to my launch and subsequent shifting, but then isn't that true for all the stick guys. Maybe I get more practice this year.

Does PR require DS loops for cars running deep 11's?

You should be fine. You have the TQ tube and they usually have no Idea on the axle loops
