Tech Question (Honduh)
1988 Acura Integra 1.6L dohc
here's the story
I sold it to my girlfriend back in fall.
I did spark plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor about a month and a half ago.
car's been running well
last 2 weeks the check engine light started coming on,
would go out if downshifted (happened a dozen times maybe)
mid last week, the check engine light came on and wouldn't go off, car had no power (limp mode / safe mode)
checked the light on the ECU
9 flashes, pause, 9 flashes, repeat (John E said it's the Cyl position sensor (crank/cam position sensor) and it's in the distributor)
we ordered the dist,
girlfriends father installed the dist, car started right up, ran well, and no check engine light.
car revved fine (no limp mode)
they shut it down, re-installed the passenger seat, and closed the hood.
then the car wouldn't start
any ideas?

another thing to check on any older acura / hondas is the main relay. They had a history of bad solder joints that crack and cause wierd no start - check engine lights.
You can open it up, look really closely at all solder connections and resolder them.
