refinishing wheels? any suggestions on refinishing wheels?
I'm picking up some wheels to run skinnies on and would like to make them look better.... for obvious reasons.
what's the best way to take off the paint that's on them & prep them for powder coating? going to be either black or silver

Kinda depends what is under the rattle can paint job. If it's bare aluminum under the paint, just take them to the powdercoater as-is. They'll have to bead blast the parts to remove surface contaminates anyway, and the rattle can paint will just fly off with a sand blaster. If the wheels have a clear coat finish under the paint, you'll have to get in there with some gel type paint remover, or step up to a heavy duty type media blasting.

new question..... Run them or powder coat them?? I can get them powder coated black for about $50.
