New Exhaust setup...
Beings this car is lowered 1.5, the exhaust is hitting really bad as it is going over the axle. Who ever put the exhaust to gether needs to be shot.... Seriously. Right before it goes over the axle, they welded the pipes together. Well that broke a long time ago, way before I bought the car. So me and Eric, after driving the car a little bit, a couple weeks ago... Finaly got under it and looked for the rattling. Cometo find out, were that weld was on both exhaust pipes, it was rattling there. So that was an easy fix. We got some rubber hose, pryed the pipes apart, and stuck it in there. Good... NO more rattling.
But now, going 60+ down the highway, the slightest dip in the road the suspension will suck it up, but along with that, the exhast hits the top of the rear....
It has a PHB relocation bracket, so the dual 2.5 inch pipes should have more than plenty of room to go over it. But who ever designed this, and put it to gether did one hell of a shitty *** job of it.
Even though I love the way the car sounds... I am contemplating on cutting this exhaust off, and then goin either to a good exhaust shop around here, and having them put TD's again on it, the right way..... Or just having them dumped like my white car..
What do you guys think I should do? What would you do if you were in my shoes??
Oh and bye the way. The car runs about 3100rpms going 65mph... Took me a tank of gas to go from Oak Harbor to Auburn.. lol
